A charming antique chest of drawers dating to the late Victorian or Edwardian period, circa 1900, with a beautifully aged black finish and attractive brass drop handles.

The chest features five drawers, comprising four smaller drawers above a deeper bottom drawer, each fitted with decorative brass handles and traditional keyholes. A gently moulded top and simple, straight legs complete its understated design.

The original-looking ebonised finish has developed a wonderful patina over the years, with areas of wear revealing the natural timber beneath. The combination of the dark surface, aged brass fittings and timeworn detailing gives the piece a particularly appealing character.

Presented in good antique condition, with plenty of age-related wear, scratches, marks and areas of paint loss throughout, all contributing to its authentic appearance. The finish has been left largely untouched to preserve its character and history.
