A beautifully crafted mid-century lounge chair, attributed to Grete Jalk for France & Søn, Denmark, c.1960s. The frame is made from solid teak, with sculpted paddle arms and a refined, architectural silhouette. Underneath, the original looped spring supports remain intact—an identifiable feature of France & Søn production.

Recently reupholstered in a textured charcoal-grey fabric, with new foam cushions. No maker’s mark present, but the design, construction and detailing are consistent with Jalk’s work for France & Søn.

Elegant and comfortable in equal measure. A quiet classic.
