midcentury fold out dry bar by Turnidge of London
A smart and sculptural dry bar cabinet, attributed to Turnidge of London, c.1960s. Neatly proportioned and thoughtfully designed, this piece brings a good dash of retro charm and functionality to any entertaining space.
When closed, it presents a clean-lined façade of warm teak veneer, fronted with elegant recessed handles and curved side panels that hint at something more exciting within. Swing the doors open, and the bar comes to life—revealing a gently lit glass-shelved interior, complete with a sliding glass doors and a subtle curved form that echoes the exterior.
The top section folds out smoothly to reveal a laminated cocktail prep surface and handy bottle/glass access from above—ideal for hosting with a bit of flair. A classic example of British mid-century bar furniture that’s equal parts form and function.
Presented in very good original vintage condition with minor age related cosmetic wear throughout.
