Midcentury Telephone Table by 'Chippy Heath' c.1960's
A beautifully proportioned mid-century telephone table by Chippy Heath, dating from the 1960s. Designed as a compact hallway or living-room piece, it combines practical storage with elegant seating — a classic example of British mid-century utility design.
The table features a solid wood frame with gently tapered legs, an integrated bench seat, and a two-drawer cabinet with sculpted wooden pulls. The restrained lines and warm timber tones give it a timeless feel that works equally well in contemporary and period interiors. Originally intended for hallway use, it now makes an excellent occasional bench, entryway piece, or low console.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition overall. The wood has a rich, even tone with light age-related marks consistent with use, but no structural issues. Some slight age staining and the drawers run smoothly - the piece is clean and well-presented.
