This striking vintage medical cabinet originates from France and was produced by Ficostra (Fabrique d’Instruments de Chirurgie et d’Orthopédie), a renowned maker of surgical and orthopaedic instruments based in Strasbourg. The original maker’s plaque is still intact and proudly displayed on the piece, adding both provenance and character.

Dating from the mid-20th century, the cabinet features a painted steel frame in its original cream finish, with subtle signs of age and wear that only enhance its authentic patina. The top section has a glazed door and side panels with a glass shelf inside, perfect for display. The lower section offers additional storage behind a steel door, with an internal shelf for practicality.
